Charlotte and Elizabeth Glick-Rountree

Our twin daughters, Charlotte and Elizabeth made their unexpected debut into the world via an emergency c- c-section on December 11, 2023, at the gestational age of 26 weeks, 2 days old. They were in the Christus St. Michaels’ NICU for 93 days.

For me, the NICU will always be a magical place where miracles happen daily because of the amazing team of doctors, nurses, and therapists who supported our daughters, my husband and me each day. The afternoon our girls “graduated” from the NICU, I honestly cried to be leaving this team whose love and support I had come to deeply rely upon.

Over the past months, our “little ladies” have continued to gratefully grow and thrive with each passing day. My husband and I remain very humbled for all the prayers that have surrounded us this past year and especially for the amazing NICU team that cared for our micro-preemie daughters enabling them -and us- the best start to their lives and our family’s blessed story.
